As it’s BBQ season, here’s my pick of some of the best veggie burgers available from UK supermarkets.
Tesco Mexican Style Bean Burger
My favourite way to eat these is in a pitta with salad and a homemade tahini dressing. So good. http://www.tesco.com
Quorn Vegan Hot and Spicy Burger
I was happy to see that Quorn are starting to get their act together by offering vegan products. I had these at my brother’s BBQ a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. A great taste with just enough of a spicy zing. http://www.quorn.com
Fry’s Asian Spiced Burger
I love all things Fry’s and these burgers are no exception. Lightly spiced and great in a bun. Definitely one of my faves. Available from Ocado, Morrisons and Holland and Barrett. Waitrose Golden Vegetable Quarter Pounder
These taste clean and relatively healthy. I love them with home made chips and a big salad. http://www.waitrose.com
Amisa Veggie Burger Mix
Fancy making your own? The lazy way? Amisa has created this veggie burger mix to make you feel like you’ve cooked without really cooking. With relatively clean ingredients, these are definitely worth a try. Just make sure you season well. http://www.amisa.co.uk/product-655-2.html
