It’s been a while since I’ve done a recipe on my blog so I thought it was about time. This is the breakfast I have had during the week for pretty much the last few months and I’m still not bored of it. I always make this the night before work, that way I can just grab it in the morning and go.
1/2 cup Oats (I used Gluten Free but you can use any you like)
1/2 Banana (not shown below – whoops)
1/2 cup Almond Milk or Dairy free milk of your choice
1 Tbs Flaxseed
1-2 Tbs Chia Seeds
1 Tbs Almond Butter (Peanut Butter or other Nut butters are just as great)
1-2 Tsp Pumpkin Spice (i sometimes substitute for Cinnamon)
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Jar or container
Mash banana in bowl and then add other ingredients in whatever order you like.
Stir together throughly
Add berries, extra banana or fruit of your choice just before eating.
This recipe has endless options and varieties too, for example you can add in the berries with the other ingredients to make a compote, adding jam or even using chocolate (non Dairy) milk for a more indulgent breakfast.
