I love porridge more than Goldilocks and the Three Bears so after receiving and loving my sample of Whole Plus Hot Pot in my May ‘The Vegan Kind’ box, I wanted to try more of the range and find out more about this company. Jo Hodson, of wonderful blog http://www.includingcake.com kindly sent me some samples to try and oh my, have they spiced up my breakfast routine.
Whole Plus focuses on natural ingredients and ‘super foods’. I tried the Hot Pots which are Oats flavoured with coconut milk and then filled with yummy, good for you ingredients. As a big fan of adding flax and seeds to my meals, I love the Toppers which are naturally sweet sprinkles.
Choc Boost – I made this one with soya milk and a little water and added some of the Cinnamon Toppers for a bit of a spicy kick. This was incredible. Probably my favourite flavour although it’s so hard to choose.
Next up was the Vanilla Spice Hot Pot and again another delicious mix of Oats, Dates, Goji berries, Coconut milk powder, Maca powder and spices. I sprinkled Vanilla Spice Toppers over it for an extra vanilla hit and of course, it was great.
Lastly, the Cinnamon Hot Pot includes Oats, Coconut, Seeds, Vanilla bean and Cinnamon, of course. I also loved this flavour and topped it off with the Coco Boost sprinkles which contain Cocoa, Flaxseed, Maca powder and Vanila powder. I found this a great combination.
